Stories and Films

This week’s lesson was about stories and films. We discussed the types of films we like and people in our countries like, and we had two exciting quizzes. The winners this week were:

Mona (also known as Enigma24 a mysterious nickname ) who got 5 points overall

Asmaa who got 3 points

Kevin with 2 point

And Piyush, who guessed the ‘mystery’ word

So, well done everyone

Lesson Six: next week

The theme next week is travel and I hope we will fly away on a magic carpet into a discovery of English. Look at the page on this blog to prepare for the lesson in advance.

Unfortunately next week is our last lesson of this series but keep checking my website to see when the next series of lessons starts (end of September, beginning of October).

A jungle picnic in search of an ending

Today we worked on expressing our opinions about books and reading, as well as having an interesting discussion. We then began to tell a story together based on a sequence of sounds. Unfortunately we did not have time to finish the story and we need a good ending for next week, so if you have any good ideas, please add them in a comment to this post. I have made a little book with the story so far….

A Jungle Picnic

This week we talked about music,instruments, what we like, the way music makes us feel and how important it is in our lives. We decided that we couldn’t imagine a world without it!

The winners of our quiz activities were Giulia and Halina… so well done to them but thank you to everyone who participated in this lesson, particularly those who spoke by microphone.

Next lesson the theme is : stories, books and films so look at the Lesson Four Page on this blog to prepare for it.

One of my favourite houses in Berlin

Today we discussed Street Art and I showed you a house in Berlin which I really like. If you follow this link you can see another example of street art in Berling that I like with my comment. Your follow up exèrcise for this lesson is to put a photo of street art from your town or from a place you have visited, then comment on it telling us what you liked about it.
